Pradeep Singh Kharola is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1985 batch from the Karnataka cadre. Pradeep Singh Kharola is originally from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and was born on September 15, 1961.

IAS Pradeep Singh Kharola has been appointed as the new Director General of the National Testing Agency (NTA) by the Ministry of Education, replacing the previous Director General, Subodh Kumar Singh amid controversies and allegations of irregularities in competitive exams such as NEET and UGC-NET.

He then completed a Master of Technology in Industrial Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, in 1984, achieving a perfect CGPA of 10.00. In 1994, he earned a Diploma in Management from the All India Management Association in New Delhi.

Kharola continued his studies by obtaining a Masters in Development Management from the Asian Institute of Management in Manila, Philippines, in 2005, again graduating with distinction.

Additionally, he pursued a PhD in Public Transport Systems at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, with his thesis expected to be submitted by October 2013.

Pradeep Singh Kharola is a 1985 batch IAS officer from Karnataka and has previously served as the Chairman and Managing Director of the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).

He brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise, having previously served as the Chairman and Managing Director of the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).-Kharola has also served as the Civil Aviation secretary and was the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Karnataka in 2012-13.
