Kashmiri activist says “I am not Malala, I am safe in my country”

Kashmiri activist Yana Mir, who is affiliated with the Jammu and Kashmir Youth Society, spoke at a “Sankalp Divas” event.

Yana Mir said ‘I am not Malala, I am safe in my country(India. She said that she is not like Malala Yousafzai.She won’t ever need to leave her own country.

She also said “I am free, and I am safe in my country (India), in my home in Kashmir which is part of India.

She criticizes foreign media for spreading false narratives about Kashmir’s oppression. Yana Mir urges unity among Indians and condemns interference from Pakistan.

She highlights progress in Jammu and Kashmir post-Article 370 abrogation and receives a Diversity Ambassador Award. Yana Mir also expresses bold opinions on issues like hijab and stubble burning, saying it affected her dad’s breathing.
